Swallowtail Shawl - Hue Change II

I could not take it. The difference in the depth of shades between the yarn just bugged me. I had a third hank of this yarn and decided to wind it into a cake and compare it with the second one. It turns out that the third hank is a much better match. So I frogged about two inches of knitting and joined the better match. I am now a happy camper.

The hanks of yarn had all looked the same to me when I went to cast on for the shawl. So whatever my hand touched is what was used. However, after this third hank was in cake form I could actually see the overall variegated colors and hues a lot better. Looks like this is something I need to keep in mind the next time I knit with hand dyed yarn that requires multiple hanks.
