Armchair Adventures

I was browsing the web via PMOG and came across a video of a hike El Camino del Rey, Spain, a famous climbing sector of El Chorro. This place was built in 1901 and what remains is a crumbling pathway. If you do not mind having your heart in your throat, then head on over to the web site and watch this fearless hiker.

Now, trip on over to the island of Gukanjima near the westernmost shore of Japan. This island is just a little over 1/2 mile in size and had a population of 5300 who worked in the coal mines. When the mines' coal was depleted in 1974, the island was abandoned.
